Waterwise Gardening

We all want to keep our gardens alive and healthy, but that is easier said than done when strict water rationing is in place.  Creating a water wise garden is one of the many ways you can save water, and it may also save you money. Council has introduced a new two tier program to assist residents to continue to enjoy their gardens while supporting water conservation.

This exciting new program includes free community workshops conducted by people qualified in horticulture.  The workshops will be held twice a year during Spring and Autumn at the Parks Library - Council Office.   Details for the workshops will be posted on this website nearer to the dates.

The second component of this new initiative is the Home Garden WaterWise Rebate Program.  A 50% rebate, up to a maximum of $50, exclusive of GST, is available to property owners or tenants residing in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield to purchase a range of garden products, water efficient devices for the garden or professional gardening advice for the benefit of the residential property in which they live.  Purchases must be made after the 1 July in the current financial year and applications will be processed monthly with rebates provided on a first come first served basis within the allocated Council budget for the financial year.
